The search for physical and mental well-being is one of the cornerstones of contemporary design and architecture. The end user aspires to find himself or herself in airy, sustainable environments with a natural imprinting. Well-being is the most up-to-date concept of living well. Following this sentiment, the architect Alfonso Pisanelli has renovated an elegant house in Aversa, not far from the Gulf of Naples. The careful selection of materials, including Kerlite, the ultra-thin ceramic slabs in large format, and the wood in natural oak, has favoured the creation of a welcoming and warm space, albeit with a minimal connotation.
Right in the centre of the living area stands the fireplace, with an understated and contemporary design, which serves as a focus and point of connection between the various environments. Covered with Kerlite6plus slabs in the Carbon variant of the Lithos collection, it stands as a unique, refined, exciting element.
To mark the discontinuity between functional environments and the relaxation area the flooring: ceramic for the kitchen, natural oak wood in any other environment. For the cooking area, the shade Macchia Vecchia of Vanity was used, a collection of ceramic surfaces that best expresses the aesthetics of the most refined marbles. It is a line inspired by stone in the most sublime expression of classical culture, characterised by light veins, soft chiaroscuro and thin designs and which uses the Protect® treatment, ideal in an environment like the kitchen, thanks to which antibacterial surfaces with great performance are guaranteed, in the name of maximum safety.
