A fascinating 300 square metre private residence in Treviglio, designed by Baruffi Studio Tecnico Associato with the platform frame technology that is, to date, the most widespread and reliable construction system on a global scale. The façades of this modern residence stand out for the large silver-painted aluminium shading devices, designed not only for their function of fixed protection from solar radiation, but also as an aesthetic element. The contemporary lines and design of this villa unite the most advanced construction techniques with the quality of the materials and finishes, aiming at optimising the standards of liveability and energy saving.
In this bio-sustainable context, no detail has been left to chance. The result is an excellent balance between the different parts of the building: from the volumes, to the study of the functional distribution of the interiors and furnishings, up to the design of the outdoor area, including finishes and coverings. In this regard, Cotto d’Este participated in the project with the quality of its offer: the volume of the home’s entrance and some portions of the blind walls on the ground floor are covered in slabs of Kerlite 3Plus Buxy porcelain stoneware, in the Noisette shade, embellishing the prospectuses.
Kerlite Buxy is a lightweight, versatile and resistant material, thanks to its reduced thickness (3.5 mm) and fibreglass reinforcement. Aesthetically, it is very eye-catching: its particular punctiform graphic design and special colour are inspired by a stone originating in French Burgundy of undoubted allure. The sobriety and beauty of the natural stones are greatly emphasised thanks to this covering.
