The project for the conversion of the commercial centre “Plaza of the Americas” in Dallas, built at the beginning of the 1980s, transformed a poorly used skating rink into a large, more attractive atrium-oasis which is much easier to use by those who work in the complex and visitors. Designed in collaboration with the landscape architect James Burnet (Klyde Warren Park), the new Plaza of the Americas, which lies at the foot of three buildings of 25 floors each, hosts an indoor oasis of 3700 m2 with plants, fountains, fine surfaces and textures and features comfortable break areas and meeting points. In the refurbishment of 2013 new commercial spaces were opened, a new fitness centre and a conference centre were built on the existing parking area, new entrances were added and all the spaces were coated with new finishes.
