Nuovostudio, an architectural studio with more than 20 years of experience, followed the project for the recovery of a building in Marina di Ravenna according to the criteria of restoration with a view to change of use: requiring recognisability, reversibility, compatibility, minimum intervention and interdisciplinarity. The designers therefore preserved the image of the exterior and concentrated the changes on the interior, for a better distribution of the rooms and more rational layouts. The building was also the focus of an extension conceived as a statically “autonomous” addition with a metal and glass structure.
Cotto d’Este paves the outdoor flooring of this extremely elegant private home in the province of Ravenna, a stone’s throw from the sea. And this is precisely the inspiration that led Nuovostudio to select Limestone, the Cotto d’Este collection that encompasses all the beauty that comes from the seabed, recreating and interpreting limestone in a new, elegant and modern guise: sedimented, stratified and fixed in stone by the patient work of water and time. Among the available colours, the choice fell on Clay in the Blazed version, with a thickness of 14 mm, ideal for outdoor spaces. For the poolside and external stairs, the designers opted for Limestone surfaces in the maxi 60x120 cm version, while the 30x60 cm size was chosen for the floor surfaces that surround the entire house.
