During the Milan Design Week 2021, Cotto d’Este, together with Elle Decor and in collaboration with DWA Studio, presents, in a sensational and emotional installation and for the first time ever, the beauty and charm of Allure.
From 5th to 10th September, during the Fuori Salone in Milan, Cotto d’Este will welcome visitors to its showroom in Piazza Castello with an extraordinary display curated by Elle Decor and designed by DWA Design Studio. “Side by Side” presents the beauty and flexibility of the brand’s latest collection: Allure.
The collection expresses the appeal and intensity of marble: a natural element with an eternal, uncontaminated, absolute and iridescent charm. The inspiration for Allure comes from the purity of Carrara marble, the intense colours of the materials extracted from the Bergamasque Alps, and the faraway lands of Brazil, where marble stands out with its lively and shifting colours. The grandeur of marbles from different parts of the world is recreated onto Kerlite’s large ultra-thin slabs, which allow the veining to flow freely.
“Side by Side” gathers Allure’s wealth of aesthetic stimuli and translates it into a project that, through pure shapes, creates an emotional space in which the texture of each stone interacts with bold colours, adding a playful touch to the collection. The installation also “plays” with size. The formats of the slabs make it possible to create maxi-volumes as well as smaller elements in order to evoke the product’s various possible uses: from architectural applications to objects, from a building’s facade to a kitchen worktop, from private residences to public spaces. The collection’s common denominator is the magnificence of stone and marble, at once timeless and ever-changing. This is characterised by the contours full of textures and chromatic contrasts chosen for their visual strength and elegant sophistication.
